VOSTROM Holdings, Inc. and the Prefix WhoIs Project are trustworthy custodians of your information, and our policy is simple: we won't sell, rent, or give away your name, email address, or other credentials to anyone except as required by law.

What this site collects

  • Contact and mailing-list forms — what you type, so we can reply or send release announcements, plus the technical context a helpdesk needs to reproduce a problem: your browser's language, time zone, screen size and platform, and how many times the form was attempted. Forms are protected by a humanity check served by our operator, VOSTROM, that evaluates the request, not you.
  • Download buttons — an optional email address for release announcements.
  • Site analytics — first-party, self-hosted page-view statistics. No third-party trackers, fonts, scripts or advertising; the only other host this site talks to is our operator's own.

Assistant connections (MCP)

When you connect an AI assistant through the MCP connector, the connection remembers the network address it was made from so that your queries can share that address’s daily allowance. Each tool call is recorded with the tool used, its cost, timing and outcome, and the connecting client’s name and version. What you asked about, your prompts and your conversation are not received and not kept. Published statistics are aggregates and percentages only.

The whois service

Queries to whois.pwhois.org are counted per source address for the purpose of fair-use rate limiting. Aggregate statistics — table size, peer counts, query volumes — are published; per-requester data is not.
